Saves money, Saves time.
If you are using Just Plug devices to help wire any layout, this small device will allow you to expand the number of items you can illuminate without having to buy more Lighting Hubs. I would suggest you purchase Woodland Scenic Splicers to make the wiring process a piece of cake. This device eliminates 75% of the wire you will need to string under your layout . This tiny little device extends the Just Plug system so that it can reach all over your layout and allow more than just 4 lights for each hub. Excellent value.

Port Sharing great way to light multiple items.
Great new device to use if you have multiple lights. Plug 4 of them into this and you will only use 1 spot on your light hub. Great if your lighting multiple items.

Great concept, but has a limitation
I love the concept of adding more plug access. However, I was trying to use it with lights that cast brightness downward and found that using the port sharing device reduced the lighting capacity and I can't use it for that application.
