Looks very nicely made, finish is very rich looking. A few tiny defects in the decorative binding but otherwise looks fine. Maybe it's the Martin strings, but this has an amazingly good sound, very bright, projects well especially considering it is not a dreadnaught size. A little small if you are a large player with big hands but for me it is quite manageable. Frets and neck are finished properly, won't need a luthier for this one, unlike another poorly made acoustic I've reviewed elsewhere.

Wow did I get a surprise. Have to change review-headpiece broke clean off-apparently cheap wood used for neck. Wouldn't buy again. Dropping this to 2 stars, this should never have happened, I did not abuse it I know how to take care of my guitars. If it was under warranty I'd have sent it back-in parts. I'd buy it again!

The look of this guitar is great. The guitar is easy to play & sounds great. I have trouble with the bottom E tuning key being stiff and almost impossible to turn by hand (still not sure why). All of the other tuners turn with ease and I was able to get the guitar in tune. It sounds fantastic. I suppose this is a kid's guitar but I have been playing it with my adult fingers and I like it alot. In fact, I will pick this up over most all other guitars because it's easier for me to play and it sounds lovely. The price point was low, which is why I can't really complain much about the one difficult tuner. I play it alot and it stays in tune better than all my other guitars! It helped make a great fire in my backyard fire pit.

My experience with this guitar was radically different than other buyers. Truss Rod was extremely difficult to work with, but I was able to use it. The tuners for the strings were poorly made and would not hold the strings in place for tuning. Not only were the strings always too high from the fretboard both before and after using the Truss Rod, but none of the strings would come to the proper tune, either. I have a different acoustic guitar (made in Japan) that is easy to work with. It goes into and keeps tune. This Chinese-made Rogue guitar was the opposite. Every piece on it (except the poly painted surface) was complete junk. Nothing worked or would even hold a decent tune. After trying for a couple of weeks to find some good use for it, I burned it up in a fire pit in my backyard.
I've decided to stick with Japanese- made acoustic guitars. Chinese Rogues are awful. I do not recommend wasting time or money on these, and would never buy one again. The brand and materials are trash.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Awesome acoustic beginners guitar at an awesome price!

I was looking for the real entry level acoustic guitar. There are guitars cheaper than this one. Which appear to look very similar. There are guitars much more expensive too, of course.
I ordered a few of those other guitars and wished I hadn't. Then I ordered this guitar.
Let me explain the differences between a cheap guitar and a good inexpensive guitar and why they are important. A cheap guitar uses the cheapest possible labor, parts, finish materials. Most times, on the way to being cheap, they cut too many corners and forget that they were supposed to be building something that would actually do the job.
Rogue didn't do that. This guitar has a truss rod. Those cheaper guitars do not. That means this guitar can be tuned and will hold that tuning. It also means the neck will stay straight and playable. The finish is very good. The frets are not ragged at the end waiting to scratch or cut your child's hand as they play.
I have played guitar for more than 40 years, and I have taught guitar for many of those years too. Even if a child wants to learn how to play, they have to have an instrument that is both tun-able and playable. This guitar is both. Still a novice

I've just started picking around with this guitar. I previously had an electric guitar that I had trouble cording.. Great Little guitar!

Another great little guitar by Rogue! I aso own one of their Dreadnaughts, and believe me, when you play the starter and the Dreadnaught side by side, the sound quality is so close you can hardly tell them apart. Rogue makes a very good quality musical instrument. Doc bought one. bass player classic rock band

I bought this guitar for my grand daughter.. she wants to learn to play a guitar. I like this one because it has good tone and ring in the playing. easy to play for a girl. easy to fret and I think my grand daughter will more likely want to learn to play.. as it frets easy for her and hopefully will not discourage her.. because of hard to play action.
all in all.. very good guitar for a beginner.. not spending a lot of money in case they don't go and learn to play.. not out a lot..
good product for the money.. I would buy another one for my other grand daughter if and when she feels like she wants to learn to play also.. and not just bang on the strings to make some noise...Vollständige Rezension lesen...
