Rockville W8T4S2 8 inch 250W Car Subwoofer

This 8” Rockville 4 ohm subwoofer speaker sound pretty good,
it does give you that cool low frequency bass that we all love,
But only at low volumes, depending on what kind of music you’re playing at the time.
So if you’re listening to any techo music.. the speaker won’t handle it that well.
so specs for this speaker say,
peak power handling is 1000W,
and then between 250W and 500w RMS.
So I have it hooked up to a 500W Rockford Fosfate mono block, I have it set at the Lowe’s settings and it can bearly handle it, it can’t go any higher,
so if you’re getting one of these subs,

Great factory replacement.

So i purshed this sub to replace my blown factory sub. I was a little skeptical because i saw this particular brand on youtube and they were blowing out. Well fast foward. I installed the sub in a 2001 Yukon, aftermarket radio with built in amp. Turned the bass up and with no expection drove around and this little 8 inch sub kicks very nice. Im not a loud type of music player but i had to check and make sure it could handle my music. It did and did it ok. Keep in mind this is not crazy amperage maybe 300 watts. 1000 watts for a single coil not posible it’s like 200 rms my stock one amp rattles them And They need More power
