A Very Good Economy Mic Stand
I would call this an "economy" mic stand, solid but not heavy duty construction. For 23 bucks its an excellent value and I see its primary use as INDOORS, home/studio, for lightweight mics-dynamic/SCMs ONLY! I personally would NOT put a LCM on this stand, especially one with an elaborate shockmount: too heavy, fall over, wreck mic!
It is light wgt steel, but all the knobs etc are of the cheaper plastic and bound to brea at some pount. Diasppiinted in the housing for the legs as it is cheap plastuc as well at the point of most support. I wouldnt use this stand for live sound outdoors and wouldnt use the boom over 5`, not sturdy enough. I think their adds are misleading as to the "sturdy" part.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Very Close to Professional Quality
I've been in bands for years and now my daughter is growing into an amazing little singer. All that to say, she needed a mic stand for her practicing and I didn't want to pay Guitar Center prices. Excellent stand for the right application!
There are a lot of really junky mic stands out there, especially in the "affordable" price-point section. I've read lots and lots of reviews with stories about stripped hardware, unstable mountings, poor mic-retention features, etc...
I play drums in a 3-piece rock band and often record our songs in my basement. I don't have gear for studio-quality recordings, but they're easily good enough to circulate on a 5-dollar demo CD at our shows. I bought a pair of these stands to use with drum mic overheads and I have to say they're easily worth their price-point, but you have to keep that price-point in mind. I wouldn't put this stand on stage, I wouldn't use it in a professional studio with lots of foot traffic and instrument rearrangement. My basement has a very static arrangement, and I'm typically the only person down there unless the guys are over for a practice. In that sort of environment, these stands are perfect! All the adjustments work, the mic clips hold my Shure SM81's just fine, and they don't fall apart just sitting there. If this sounds like your level of use, you'll do fine with these! If your application requires a pro-quality stand, you'll be throwing these out before you know it.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Light weight

Great price. Light duty stand.
The price was great and it came with (I think) two decent mic clips. The problem is that it's a light duty stand that is sort of masquerading as a heavy duty stand. I don't expect it to last very long and it's not rock solid like my other ones. Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Tripod base falls off
The first time I used the stand was at a gig. I opened the three legs loosened the wing nut to lower into position and the whole assembly fell off the bottom of the main poll. Not good!! Looks like the assembly is held together by glue.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

A good value for the price.
Good quality steel used in the threaded adjusters with a useful 'lock' for the microphone holder, so it doesn't pivot out of adjustment. A good value for the price.

Great product
Second one I've bought.....much more solid than the first....don't have to worry about it falling over if accidentally hit during performance.....would strongly reccomend to any stage performer....

Best product for its price!
When I write this, nothing needs to be misconstrued to be negative in any manner, whatsoever. For me, this is the best product as far as a mic stand is involved. Like others have commented, however, if you're really into performances, and are hard on equipment, you would need a sturdier, and more expensive stand.
