I WAS SITTING AROUND THE HOUSE THE OTHER DAY WHEN I GOOD FRIEND CALLED. WE GOT TALKING ABOUT SOME OF THE MOVIES WE SAW AS YOUNG ADULTS .. SCI FY HAS ALWAYS BEEN TOP OF THE LIST WITH BOTH OF US.. WE BOTH AGREE THAT TODAYS SCIFY IS JUST TO CLUTTERED WITH WAY TOMUCH CGI FOR ITS OWN GOOD WHEN I TOLD HIM I HAD JUST GOTTEN ROBINSON CRUSOE ON MARS HE HAD NEVER HEARD OF THE MOVIE BEFOR HE NOW HAS SEEN THE MOVIE AND REALLY ENJOYED A HONESTLY OUTSTANDING GREAT MOVIE WITH REAL ACTORS PLOT DRAMA AND TRUE HUMAN SPRIT.. A great copy of this vintage film.

I saw this in the theater as a child and it has held up extremely well. The picture is crisp and the colors are vivid. The subtitles are a help to those with hearing loss.

Classic Science Fiction Movie

Criterion did a great job on restoring this Classic movie to high-definition. I enjoyed watching this movie and thought that even today its well done. You can see that the ship looked like an Apollo Spacecraft and though there are some unbelievably things in the movie, it's still great.

An info booklet was included. DVD contained extras.

Good movie for it's time

It was one of the earlier classic movies. Bought it recently as wanted to see it. Hard to find in TV movies. Searched around and found a good bargain .
