Revell 5536 1:32 UH-1D Huey Gunship Military Helicopter

Revell 1/32 UH-1D Gunship plastic model kit.

All in all, a reasonable kit of the ubiquitous Iroquois.
Repop of older 1960's kit, with much better quality decals, small amount of flash and ejector pin marks. Parts fit, okay. Overdone rivets and panel lines? Yep. Looks at home on this old whirley-bird though...
Complete with a fictitious armament scheme (at least on the long-bodied D mode), armament is more at home on a short-bodied C model) including rocket pods and quad M-60 automated guns, and miniguns. Wrong armament for D model...
But reasonable starting place for building a Vietnam-era RAAF UH-1D Bushranger gunship...
Needs a lot of effort to bring up to a modern standard of detail, but if you're not anal about such things, this kit still builds up into a decent representation of a "Huey".
The big question.

Does it look like an IIroquois?

Yes. Yes it does.

Despite being an old, simply detailed kit, with a few minor shape and detail problems and omissions, it still builds easily, And for some, will be nostalgic...

Still, if you want a reasonable scale UH-1D, 1/35 or 1/32, this may not be the only player on the field anymore, but easily the best value for money.
Panda and Dragon do a few variants, including a D model, but for more dollars.
MRC/Academy cover the C model fairly well, and Seminar have the closest to a B model on the market.

In closing, if you can overlook the small issues with this terrific old kit, just go an get one, before it's discontinued. It may pop up again, but who knows when?

Nice Kit

A nice model kit. Surprising for a Revell kit to have this much flash though. Be prepared to do a lot of clipping and sanding on this one. Once your past all of that it is a very detailed and nicely presentable model. Super easy to put together and paint. Not sure if all of the details and decals are period correct(that was before my time) for the purists. Just enjoy and have fun building this model.Vollständige Rezension lesen

"Nice model in a rare scale"

I was happy and satisfied with this model. The 1/32 scale aircraft models are becoming very hard to find in an affordable price range. This model did arrive with a broken tail rotor stabilizer, but should be easily repairable and hard to notice if repaired properly. It was well packaged and delivery time was acceptable. Great Model

For a 32 scale model Huey, I love the larger scale. The overall length is almost 16". Great detail, movable parts - excellent for display. Definitely Recommend!

Revell's 1/32 scale Bell Huey.

This kit is a large scale model of the famous
Bell Hueyy Vietnam era helicopter. It represents the D version, the first armed version of the troop transport helicopter. that lead to the development of the Bell Cobra concept. The kit is well detailed for its age and should go together easily to produce a good representation of this helicopter.

VERY GOOD LOOKING MODEL EXCEPT SOME PARTS DON'T LINE UP PROPERLY. YOU HAVE TO SAND SOME OF THEM TO FIX. OTHERWISE WITH A LITTLE TIME, YOU WILL GET THEM IN ORDER.

Revell Huey

A gift-and the only real show in town about this. It's a Revell- easy build- basic- but at least reasonably accurate.

Nice size for better detailed parts.

Love the size. I have built other similar but on smaller scale. This one is great to put together.
