1/35 CIWS
At first glance this looks like a weekend build, but this has the complexity and refinement of any Academy or Tamiya 1/35 tank but at a Hobby Boss price point. Lots of value here. The six sprews are mold flash free and perfectly. Sprew Fx1 is molded in black rubber-like urethane containing mounts and ammunition wraps. Comes with photo-etch (2 frets) and brass barrels. My only criticism is that some of the photo-etch parts could have been molded into the plastic parts as relief. Sometimes I get the impression that manufactures add needless photo-etch as value added accessories. But I’m nitpicking here. Also, put on your Opti-Eyes and prepare yourselves for lots of fiddly small part production. This is where you’ll spend alot of time. The full color instruction booklet (yes, I said booklet) has 44 steps that include templates for foot step placement and four different paint schemes with Tamiya and Mr.Color references. The schemes don’t tell you which ships the versions are used on but with a little research the builder might be able to figure it out. I’m glad to see more 1/35 scale weaponry out there. Detail really makes this kit
The detail overall was excellent and the PE only added to make this an outstanding model of a Close-in Defense System
