RCA DHT235C 4" 720p LED LCD Television

A true gem to have on-hand for emergencies and power outages

You know the old saying "they don't make 'em like they used to?" Well, that saying definitely applies here for the RCA DHT235A. It's a shame that they don't make and sell handheld TVs like this anymore, but I'm glad people are re-selling their older models here on eBay. This is a nifty little product that feels about as lightweight as my iPhone. It has a surprisingly great picture and sound quality. The digital antenna is truly impressive. It picks up on stations in the next media market over that are clearly more than 40 miles away from my home. I love how it also has a signal strength feature that you can see on the screen for every channel. The best part, however, is the fact that it runs on AA batteries. I feel much better about this particular product in emergency situations or simply when the power goes out (which happens more frequently down here in Florida). If you look at the handheld TVs being sold today, none of them run on AA batteries. In my opinion, it's pointless to buy those products if it doesn't have that feature. The RCA DHT235 TV models seem to be one of the few products released in the market over the last decade or so that have this important feature. But even in normal, non-emergency situations, it's just fun to play with. It's been entertaining to have this handheld tv sitting on its convenient flip-stand on my work desk, dinner table, or nightstand. It's truly the perfect little size. I'm glad I finally got it. If you're looking to get a handheld digital tv -- especially to have on-hand for power outages and emergencies -- then get the RCA DHT235A. Don't waste your money on any of the "newer" handheld TVs... unless RCA miraculously decides to revive their production of handheld digital TVs for the 2020s (while keeping the AA battery feature).Vollständige Rezension lesen

This TV is a Life Saver!!!

I LOVE this little TV. I am addicted to tv and this tv has saved me several times when the power was out!! I just bought another one. A few years ago, I waa without power for 5 days. Thank God I had this tv. I went thru a lot of batteries, but was able to watch my football games, game shows, and nighttime dramas just like usual. Being alone, it kept me company as I snuggled up with my kitty by the fire. I have also used it when my big tv went on the blink. It is particularly useful when a tornado is near and I am taking cover. Nice to have to keep in touch with the tv weathermen while I shelter in my bathroom!!! R C A SMALL TELEVISION.......

Live in a rural area. Knew I would have to use an auxiliary antenna. R C A in their great wisdom used an antenna adapter that is next to impossible to find. Got two that were supposed to fit, right angle no good and other not deep enough. The tv may be fine as others have seemed to be satisfied. I may never know. Good working hand-held digital tv.

It is a good working digital tv, with a small screen. The antenna connector could be better and the small antenna that's built in is useless, but it works fine when hooked to a real antenna or cable.

Great for emergency power outages.

I searched all over for a battery powered TV. I live in a hurricane zone and any TV without a replaceable batty is nearly useless. I mean, come on, what use are rechargeable batteries when you have no power?
Anyway, it seems this was the only way to go. I am VERY pleased with it. Yes, the screen is a bit small, but it picks up a lot of channels, especially the local new and weather, which is my main purpose in getting it.
All told, I'm happy with it, and it will be used for emergencies very well.

Great little TV

This is a super little TV with a great picture & many features. I currently own three, as I've placed one in each of my vehicles & keep one in my home for emergency weather & power outage situations, as well as for viewing various sporting telecasts, if I happen to be out & about somewhere that's not close to a big TV. The only drawback is they do use up battery power fairly quickly(Generally will last thru a basketball game, but not a football game) however I also have a couple of portable TVs with the rechargeable batteries, which sometimes last a little longer, but when they go down you have to have an exterior power source to continue watching. I like these TVs better, you just need to carry extra double A batteries to keep watching the event. Also I've bought the AC & DC power cords for my TVs so I can either plug them in my cars or an electrical plug, if one is close by, for long term watching. I like it, for it does work ok.

This TV works. I bought it for when S.H.T.F. I sure it will work if something does happen and if the TV stations are still sending signels over the air. Right now I am just testing using different batteries and finding a better antenna for a longer range of receving. The antenna is very small. I does work, but for only local stations.
Buy it, I do not think you be unhappy with it. It is small and fragle.

RCA 3.5" TV

I could only get 3 channels. Ordered external antenna and now get 11. When I say 11, it found them but you can't actually get a picture on all of them.

this tv has the best atsc tuner you can find

Iam a fanatic of portable tvs and had expensive models that can not compare with this one. The reception is great because the tuner is very sensitive . I dont live that close to the tv transmitters and still get a better reception than my other portables. Having AA batteries is a plus. Awesome tiny TV

This is a great tiny tv for live digital signal broadcasts. It has excellent picture and sound, and works both on batteries and an ac adapter(I purchased separately).
