Power Steering Pump Pulley Tool LISLE 39000

Worked flawlessly! I highly recommend this puller. Professional quality at an affordable price. You won't be making several trips to the auto parts because of substandard workmanship.

Needs slight revision to be perfect.

Almost a great tool. On the adapter to install the power steering pulley on the GM cars the threaded portion of the adapter that screws into the pump shaft is too long. To make sure I was correct I chased the threads in the pump shaft to make sure they were clean all the way to the bottom of the shaft hole. When fully installed there were still two threads and the hex portion of the shaft protruding from the pump shaft. When I installed the pulley I ran out of threads before the pulley was fully installed. This stripped out the last two threads of the installation nut as these were supporting all the installation force. I would recommend shortening the length of the adapter 1/4" or changing the design of the adapter so the hex is on the opposite end furthest from the pump shaft.

Otherwise the tool is robust and should last for many pulley removal and installations.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Best pulley remover / installer!

I've faught with the GM power steering pulleys before....heat, penetrant, hammering, destroyed Harbor Freight puller tools, etc. But this tool is it! Well designed and built. This has all the items needed to get the job done right the first time around.

I like the way the handle screws into the two clam shells and locks it onto the pulley so it will not slip. The ones that have a slip on sleeve that goes over the clam shells just didn't do the job for me where this one did. Vollständige Rezension lesen
