Potterton Ignition Control..New Old Stock.
Item arrived very quickly and as it was new-old stock, i was half expecting it not to work. Fitting it was easy and took about five minutes. Switched on....nothing. There is a tiny fuse on the front, so i switched the power off and took it out for a closer look, it seemed fine but i changed it anyway. Switched the boiler back on...worked perfectly. The unit has probably been sitting on a shelf for 20+ years so i can'y complain about one tiny fuse.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Well worth it.
This item was a used product, so it was a little bit of a gamble buying something with no guarantee, but when it arrived I could see straight away that it looked good, there was no burn marks on the solder joints or anything else. Reconditioed Netaheat controller.
This old style boiler control last about 10 years or so and reconditioned units a good deal BUT look out for bad solder joints ie "dry joints - DJs". My purchase had bad arcing on all HT solder joints. High voltage sparks jumping all over. Main Burner Ignition
Existing faulty PCB would light the boiler pilot but the main burner would not. If the board was tapped lightly the PCB relay would click and then the main gas valve solonoid would clonk and the main burner would ignite. working within 24hrs

Fixed my boiler, I think
Got my heating engineer to change this part after he recommended it when boiler started playing up. Seems to have fixed the problem, but it was intermittent anyway so it's hard to be really sure. Bit expensive for what it is though.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
