A fun challenge if you don't know Japanese!
I've played through the first generation Pokemon games in English a few times. I'm not sure what compelled me to get Japanese Green Version, but I did. I remember my brother importing the Japanese versions of the DS games and playing them without knowing much Japanese. This is because there was more English built into the games, you could use the English alphabet, for example. Not the case with this game. However, since I know the games pretty well, I'm thinking of it as a bit of a challenge to myself. The most difficult part is the moves. I got this in the mail today and dare I say it, it seems legit. Other than the cartridge contacts being a bit dirty (I assume from general use) it's fine. Game works, I can save as normal, etc. Really good deal in my opinion.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Great collectors item and piece of Pokemon history.
The original Pokemon green never made it to the west as it had some bugs that were patched out for the western release but red and green were renamed to red and blue over in the west.
It is one of the very first Pokemon games to be released and if you can find it in relatively good condition i would definitely recommend picking it up.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Purchased it under the impression that I was just receiving the game cartridge. In reality I received it in the original box, with the instruction manual, original map, and other components .

Try not to worry, they are selling real copies!
For the price offered, I was expecting a total cheap knockoff version of the video game. But upon arrival, I was extremely surprised to find that after an hour and 20 minutes of different tests, the game is real. Blue version with green sticker
It's the blue game with a green sticker on the outside. The only thing that is different about this game over the blue is when you first turn it on it says pokemon green instead of blue. I have played it all the way through and it is identical to the blue game, no different pokemon or anything than the blue version. However this is a little cheaper than an actual blue version so if all you want is something to play its fine. Better than expected.
"It's just Pokemon Blue in Japanese": That's what Green is. The pokemon and gameplay are mostly the same. If you're looking for the weird one, Japanese Blue is what you want, not Green.
I'm not sure how or why one person got it with the box and stuffs, but I didn't. Only the game is advertised, though, so it's not false advertising. If you're looking for an authentic version of the game standalone, this has you covered.
The save battery is replaced, so you are able to save.
The cart has some very minor damage, but it's not very noticeable at all, especially from a small distance.
On a different note, be sure not to trade with an English copy. Although, if you're looking into this purchase, you've probably already done your research.Vollständige Rezension lesen

I bought these games because I am a fan of the originals and I wanted to put these in a shadow box next to my English ones. These ones played and saved so it was really coo!
