Great for monitor, not so hot for mix

I bought these to replace my trusty 20 year-old 'cans that finally had a failure at a muff mount. My wife and I both office at home, so working from my monitor speakers is not always an option. Since most of what I do involves mix, I needed some new headphones that had good spatial representation. These AKG's are nice enough, but were not exactly what I was hoping for. If you are a performer and you are wanting to focus totally on your own monitor, these are the headphones for you. If you are working a complex mix, look elsewhere. These headphones deliver a very clean, precise sound with a good representation across a great frequency range, but have no 'presence' whatsoever. I will keep them as backups for when I need monitor, but I was hoping they would be better for mix. Small and Powerful Little Amp

This amp is a great value. This thing puts out good power. I don't even have it maxed out and pushes my sub pretty good at 4 ohms. The sound is it puts out is clean too. Love this thing. It doesn't seem to get hot either. My only complaint is that I bought it used and it didn't come with the bass knob. This lil amp does work. Much better than the lil hand me down audio lighting I had 😂 Highly recommend. Set up is super easy, wish it had a clip light on it but I can settle with out.
