Good quality for the right camera
The Pig Iron L-Bracket is machined to a good standard. There are nuts which allows it to be taken apart and it fits securely onto my tripod head. It's also a nice feature to have a part on the screw nut that allows you to take the bracket off the camera without using an allen key. However, I bought this bracket after seeing pictures on the sellers page showing it attached to a Canon 5D mark ii. If the horizontal part is straight flush to the bottom of the camera, the vertical side is not straight whilst also blocking access to the usb port, therefore I don't consider this to be universal. The Kirkphoto BL-5Dii bracket that was designed specifically for the 5Dii fits without such issues on my other camera. If you can find one 2nd hand then this is the one to go for, and being 2nd hand they're cheaper too, but these seem hard to find which is why I resorted to trying this out.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Perfect
This L-Bracket is of superb quality. I just wrote this review to help Panasonic owners. Since Panasonic G80 / G85 have the bracket hole so far forward towards the lens it’s almost impossible to get any bracket to fit. This one is easy to modify to fit. Line up the bracket under the camera and drill a hole in the bracket to make it fit. Also need to make a 2mm cut for the strap-”ears” on the camera. After that it fits beautifully! Perfect! Good Value
As a universal L bracket this is decent quality at a good price. Fits great on my Canon 7d mkii but covers the battery compartment on my 760d. It is inclined to twist a bit on usage but what more can you expect at this price. Lightweight with great features
Well constructed the bracket has an additional safety stop with a press to release button to stop it falling completely out of a loose clamp. Makes changing from landscape to portrait mode a doddle.

Pig Iron L Bracket
Great piece of kit. Fits the Nikon Df and also allow cable entry when in portrait mode. Pairs really well with the Pig Iron Ball Head. Purchased from Jack the Hat photographic, a very helpful team.

The item was posted very quickly however when I tried to fit to my camera the sliding screw would not move along the bottom
I had to grind the bottom plate with a dremel drill to enable the screw to move freely in order for it to be screwed into the base of the camera
