Fitting of these filters

The metal Gauze pops out of the Stainless plates when you try and fit them, and as the bolts to hold the two plates together are simply loose bolts it makes it a fiddly job to line up everything ..>
If the bolts were already fixed to the backplate the fitting would be much easier as you would just be fighting with the filter gauze.

In reality we are ALL up to this challenge and this is purely my observation after fitting a pair of them.

Good value

For the price these are great but spend some time with a file before fitting to take of pressed edges. They are razor sharp. not painfull but you get the red stuff all over the engine bay.

Very nice set of filters

I wanted to get rid of those big black filters, these are a beautiful replacement.

i don't recommend

The 2 threaded rods which hold the cover are not fixed at the base, the stainless is too thin, the trellis which retains the filter is hanging

Foam too dense

Fitted ok but caused a misfire due to air starvation. The foam is much too dense and restricts air flow.

For budget pancake air filters these are recommended. They came with protective plastic on the stainless
