A story to get hooked on

Warning - there is full nudity (mostly breasts and butts, but beware of disk 3-penis)
- foul language used by characters when they are angry

That having been said I love this almost as much as Downton Abbey. Believable characters. Even though there is time travel it is a period piece (historical fiction, not sci-fi). Jamie and Claire's Journey

The actors who play Jamie and Claire are very in character. They are very generous with their fans off screen. Diana Gabaldon is a great writer. I have never read a series of books that have kept me involved with the story as these have. She makes you feel as if you are there. I have never read any book that I want to read again and again I find things that I didn't catch the first time. Even though the tv series has to change some things it is still pretty close to the book. I enjoy being able to watch the movie anytime I have time. Fantastic show!

Can't say enough about OUTLANDER. IF I had to choose of favorite movie series before I could not.... but I must say it has to be OUTLANDER! I love Game of Thrones... but this is excellent.

Outstanding entertainment

One of the best shows I have ever watched. Excellent production, engaging characters, great storyline, and incredible actors! Not a show for young children as it has a lot of adult content.

Love the show, but not the best quality DVD

This is one of my favorite new shows, so I've seen the episodes quite a few times, but usually in HD. The quality of the DVD is not the best and appears a little grainy in some scenes. Season1-Outlander

The excitement over this series coming to Starz was spectacular. This comes from the first book titled the same by Diana Gabaldon.
Claire finds herself propelled through time 200 yrs in the past into the Scottish highlands. Then the adventures begin, and of course, there is a rugged gorgeous Scotsman she finds herself drawn to.
If you've read the books, you're already ahead, if not you are in for an amazing treat with this first half of the series.
I will say, I was not happy that they put this series out in 2 separate dvd's. The 2nd series starts in April 2016, & even though they will no doubt split the season & sell it in 2 different dvd's I'll still buy it.
I should tell you, if you've never seen this before, there is a lot if nudity and violence that will make you turn away. There is a scene where a main character is flogged, & it is vividly vicious.
The romance in this dvd warms your heart, & you fall in love with Jamie & Claire. You'll find yourself needing more of them, but I really suggest you read the books too. There is nothing better than escaping into the Scottish Highlands with Claire & Jamie!Vollständige Rezension lesen

Very interesting series

I was skeptical about this series when my sister told me about it but she insisted that I watch it. So I gave it a chance and was very surprised and intrigued about the story and what was going to happen next. I can truthfully say that this series has far exceeded my expectations and I truly enjoy watching it. I would highly recommend this series.
