Great Strategy Game

If you like the classic board game of Checkers you'll love Othello. Plus it's much easier to put away when you're finished playing. ;-) I never jumped on the video game band wagon back in the 80's, but I did acquire an NES system. Stumbled across it one day and decided to search eBay to see if games were still available. Boy howdy! Seems they're everywhere. Somewhere I read there were over 60 million NES systems manufactured and shipped world wide. Othello is different in play than Checkers, but you can still strategize and lead your opponent just where you want them. Then go in for the take down. If playing the computer on the higher levels - forget it! Play goes along kind of fast for the first few moves and then suddenly the computer takes a long pause. That's when you know it's over for you! I find it fun to learn from the machine and then use those tactics on my human challengers. Great game for us old timers.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

A simple but challenging NES game that gives your brain a workout!

Othello is a fun, challenging, game with several modes of play. The graphics and music are simplistic, but nothing that takes away from the gameplay itself.

Othello is awesome, challenging, and great vs. mode

Finally found a game my fiance will want to play with me. It is challenging, because the computer is a worthy competitor.

The kids love it! They are getting into the old Nintendo, they can not believe this is what we thought was great when it came out!!!

Great game.

I had never heard of the board game Othello until I played this game on the NES. Othello is good tiiiimes. It's better than Checkers! Really addictive. Play with a friend.

nothing beats the classics
