Love all the music capabilities at my finger tips
All works well, easy set up, remote and cabinet functions are not complicated. Sound is great with Infinity Primus floor speakers.
CEC and ARC left off due to miscommunication with components but this seems to be an issue overall with many brands of components out there. CEC and ARC are just not a well developed technology yet, from what I understand its a hit and miss if CEC and ARC are going to work flawlessly so not going to ding the Onkyo for that. Very Pleased
I've been with stereo since it's early days and still spend significant time listening to music. The TX-8260 replaces another Onkyo stereo receiver (TX-8511) that I really loved but wanted something with all the integrated WiFi & Bluetooth conductivity but not with all the video capability. The TX-8260 perfectly fills the bill. First, the sound is excellent, very straightforward, neutral and powerful. All of the networking features I've tried (Pandora, Spotify, iTunes and Media player via computer, etc) work perfectly. I copied my entire computerized music files onto an older backup drive, utilized the rear USB port and now can play over 8600 songs (63 GB) directly. Phono, FM and CD all work and sound great, too. The remote is fine. Of course the single line display is limited, but it is logical and gets the job done. I'm very happy with my purchase.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Great receiver, super low price!
I purchased this receiver for $279 because, I guess, it was "an open box" item. It normally sells new for around $399. Great price! The mian reason for the purchase was because I recently put all my CDs on USBs. Although the Onkyo unit doesn't play the USBs in the random fashion I was looking for, it's as close as any unit I found.
