One of the great analogue cameras.
The OM1 was revolutionary in its time It continues to be a fabulous piece of equipment. The sole negative is the battery which powers the light meter. Requires a 1.35v or you need to compensate with the settings.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Oldie but goldie...and practical..and resitant...and beautiful
Actualy, my model is OM1 (not OM1 N), wich is slightly diffrent, as the shutter speeds are mechanicaly control, instead of electronicaly (on OM1 N).
I can say that quite like everything about this camera. It`s almost 5 decades old, but it looks and works as it would be fresh out of the box. It has has a nice touch, give a nice feeling. The pictures I got from it with the standard Zuiko 50mm, a Tamron 28mm, and a Zuiko 100-200mm are very nice.

A classic!
Contrary to a previous review, both OM1 & OM1n have a mechanically timed shutter (it's electronic on the OM2 & OM2n). It's a classic - reliable, well made, compact, light & good to handle.
The Cds meter is clunky, by today's standards, but gives good results if you get past the battery problem.
Late model OM1n's are preferred, as they avoid the light-seal foam degradation in the prism housing, which affects the silvering of the pentaprism.
Marked down also from 5* because of the detachable hotshoe, which almost always has cracks in the plastic.
Apart from the above caveats, the best mechanical SLR I've ever used.

Great camera in excellent condition. The only thing missing is the motor drive mechanism cover but that is a minor issue. Some dust in the prism mechanism but that is to be expected. Only ran 1 film through it and looks great.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Retro all the way
It like going back to the sixties!
At least it makes you think for yourself and as you cannot see the picture as soon as you have taken it you spend much longer thinking about the framing light evening etc.

Great camera
A really nice, well built little camera. The 50 mm zuiko lens is very sharp. Get one you won't regret it.

The amazing om1
Great camera. It will probably over expose as it has a modern battery running the meter but that's easily remedied. The camera is over 40 years old and it still works like a dream. Nuff said.
