Love It!

Hayley has such a splendid voice, and these tracks prove it. I specifically bought this CD for a few tracks that the US version doesn't have, and they're great. Hayley never disappoints.

Hayley's a touch of heaven

Well......... Simply, Its amazing. You could easiley let the full cd repeat over and over. To point out the best tracks would be very difficult but, "May it be" starts the album and straight away lets you know, purchasing this album was a good idea, "Prayer" is so elegant, while Quanta Quanlia is very "all angles" like, "What you never know" and "Both sides now" are up beat and "The mists of Islay" is tipically Hayley...wich is not bad at all! =)Vollständige Rezension lesen...

RELAXING,SOOTHING AND PEACEFUL.

I BOUGHT THIS ALBUM FOR THE "PRAYER" TRACK WHICH I SAW HER PERFORM LIVE ON SONGS OF PRAISE A WHILE AGO AND I REALLY LIKED IT. I HAVE LISTENED TO A FEW OTHER TRACKS ON THE ALBUM AND SO FAR I LIKE "MAY IT BE" AND I THINK "SHE MOVES THROUGH THE FAIR" IS BRILLIANT ASWELL - IT REMINDS ME A BIT OF "BELFAST CHILD" BY SIMPLE MINDS. SHE HAS A VERY RELAXING VOICE.WHEN I LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM,I IMAGINE THAT I AM SOMEWHERE IN THE COUNTRY,BY A STREAM ON A QUIET SUMMERS DAY. Hayley has one of the best voices...

Great voice, superb album! Im a fan of Hayley and that was from a few years back when 'Pure' was released. Hayley has one of the best voices i have ever heard. Odyssey has completely emotional pieces of music that Hayley performs effortlessly. Hayley Westenra Odyssey

I already possess some Hayley Westenra CDs after seeing her perform on Songs of Praise a few years ago , though young there is a passion in her delivery that some other artistes can not convey , listen to Shenandoah [Haunting].The ultimate approval for me was the collaberation with Mike Oldfield on Music of the Spheres CD , Mike has the ability to choose the most interesting vocalists , Roger Chapman , Jon Anderson , Aled Jones , Bonnie Tyler etc .This CD just confirms my opinion of this great voice.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Odyssey - Hayley Westenra

I first heard this artist when her live broadcast concert from New Zealand was shown on television. Her voice is so beautiful for such a youg girl. I felt compelled to buy one of her CDs to see if her recordings were as good. I bought 'Odyssey' from E-bay and I was thrilled to discover that she comes over just as well,if not better, than her live recording. I play this over and over and don't seem to tire of it. The purest voice I have ever heard.
