Fuel Solenoid Repair Kit Review

This fuel solenoid repair kit included not only the solenoid, but the wiring, all gaskets and a heat shield, to facilitate installation on my Kohler engine carbeurator. There were instructions provided, which made installation pretty easy. Found out that a previously installed solenoid had faulty wiring on the plug, which was provided on a previous kit, purchased elsewhere. Great upgrade to original fuel shutoff. Brought my Husqvarna mower back to life.

Received the parts promptly. This is the genuine Kohler fuel shutoff solenoid upgrade kit. I had to replace the original solenoid when the wire broke off of the original one. This is a complete kit with additional heat sheild and gaskets. Got my mower running again and even fixed the problem I was having with backfire when shutting off mower. Included instructions were detailed enough for anyone to follow. Wiring instructions were a bit unclear but not too hard to figure out with a little common sense. The product is good. The picture of the solenoid does not match what I received. What I received was a shorter solenoid. It does work very well. The problem I have is that I could have bought the shorter solenoid from another seller for $29 on ebay with free shipping. Here I payed $42. Works but tight

The new heat shield and solenoid size makes it a bit difficult to get it installed on my model of mower. I understand that this motor is used on multiple brands and may not be an issue for you.

My Troybilt lawn tractor wouldn't start.

A little troubleshooting showed that it was a fuel problem, a little more showed that it was the fuel shut off solenoid. The internet search had the prices all over the board. I was not sure about this as the solenoid was different but I found out that my old one had been discontinued. This was the proper replacement for my 2008 Troybilt Bronco 42 inch lawn tractor with the Kohler Engine. The tractor runs like new. The price was great. Thanks a lot!!!Vollständige Rezension lesen

Great Update

I have looking for awhile for this item at better price the old style is around 80 dollars. This up grade was about half that price. It was easy to install in my STX 380 John Deere mower Kolher 12.5. It now runs great again.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Good enough

I don't believe it went to my lawnmower even though it pulled up as it did. I had to pop the shield on with a hammer and extension because it wouldn't go on otherwise.
