Line error.

These are defective. There is no 5.1 soundtrack on the DVD Video layer. I have now bought two of these and they both were the same. When you go to the audio setup menu and click on 5.1, it goes straight to pcm stereo. If you press audio on your remote, there is only one soundtrack to choose from and that is stereo. *******addendum 7-6-17: The 5.1 will play on DVD AUDIO players only. I emailed back and forth with Neil Wilkes (the DVD author) and he admitted the error. This educated me as to the difference between DVD and DVD-A. Your player has to have the 'DVD VIDEO/AUDIO' logo on the front to play this, not just 'DVD VIDEO'. I have since purchased a Denon DVDA player and found out I was not getting the most out of many of my DVD's, even though they were playing 5.1 on the old players. Many 5.1 releases have no AUDIO_TS layer like the Tull Releases, but the Yes releases do. Check your discs and make sure you are getting the most out of them.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Masterpiece of Surround Sound!

This is one of the finest surround mixes in the business. Like it says on the box this is a Blu-Ray Audio disc and do not be thinking you will get that mix without proper equipment. Like I told Dave Gregory after I first got it, "go get the player to listen in surround. It is worth it!!"
Nonsuch, Drums + Wires and Black Sea are the cream of the 5.1 mix crop. Steven Wilson, the re-mix guy, is a total genius when it comes to this stuff!!
