Ninja Spirit (TurboGrafx-16, 1990)

A welcome addition to any TG16 library.

The game plays almost like a shooter (contra for example) though in place of guns you have a sword. Power ups give you shields, stronger sword attacks, and shadow clones. It’s not an overly complex game, mostly just running to the right, though it is addictive. Similar to games like Darius, it pays to keep momentum with your power-ups; dying and starting over with a base weapon in later stages is very challenging. Fun Ninja Action

The game has great graphics and excellent music. The controls are tight and responsive. The levels are well designed and I feel the game has a good difficulty curve. If you like 16 bit action games then you will enjoy this game.Vollständige Rezension lesen

90’s Ninja nostalgia

Definitely a top ten game for the Turbografx 16! Boss fights, good controls and great weapons. My cousin was the only person I knew that owned this game when I was a kid and it was ahead of it’s time!

Ninja Spirit is one of the best games for the TurboGrafx16

I remember watching clips on YouTube for the top 10 games & Ninja Spirit was on the list. I thought it was just as good as Shinobi & Ninja Gaiden so I got. The music and gameplay is epic! I love it!

Old school ninja arcade action at its best!

I love the TurboGrafx arcade ports. This one is no exception. Highly recommended.
