A Most Have Lens

Older generation lens makes great value
This lens is around ten years old, but it performs like a new lens. Durable, metal construction and weather sealed, it can be used anywhere and any time. Focus is lightning fast and, though it may be a little louder than the new version, the sharpness is insane.

Built like Tank but superfast like Japanese Shinkansen.
I wanted to buy this one so went to the local market but the prices there are fixed and written on stone. Two years back this lens was sold for as low as RS 132,000 as per the Indian retailer itself. I saw this available online for a lower price and being an expensive product I was worried to order online.
Nevertheless I was apprehensive regarding buying a used one, I decided to take the risk and plunge in.
Happy with the plunge as I got a good well packed product, delivered from EBAY supplier. The product is correctly labelled, with warranty card included.
Well packed...built like a tank. Black Matt finish. Works well for sports portraits and wild life. I been using this lens for portraits, weddings and wildlife for more than one week combined with D5100. It's fast, sharp and the beautiful bokeh at 200mm f2.8 for portraits is just awesome.
Sharp, negligible light flares. Very good build quality.
A MUST HAVE LENS FOR ALL-ROUND PERFORMANCE.

A solid telephoto lens
This lens is what you'd expect. The cost justifies it 100%. The build quality is amazing. It is not plasticy like so many of the other Nikkor lenses. The image quality is superb and so are all of the functions, including zooming, focusing and VR.
Yes I know the VR2 is out, but this lens is still awesome if you can find one in good condition. It is heavy, but do not let that turn you off from purchasing. Vollständige Rezension lesen

Lens showed up today in the original box with instructions and all!
The lens looks brand new, don't see any marks on it and the glass is pristine! Everything looks brand new! Having used it already, the lens is quiet, smooth, and fast! Great pictures!

Legendary lens.
Legendary build. Amazingly quick focus response. Tack sharp. But you have to be willing to lug it around as it is a heavy lens.
Very Good Value
This lens performs very well, although I’ve only used it a little bit. It seems very sharp, focus is pretty quick and image stabilization is also nice. Definitely sharper on my full frame than on my crop frame camera. In my experience sometimes the autofocus has not been bang-on which has given me a few soft photos, but hoping this will sort itself out with more use. Outstanding lens.
I’ve always heard that the Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 was a great lens and now I know it to be true first hand.
It captures pictures very clearly and the VR makes it easy to be hand held.

Bokeh only okay, but really sharp!
Sharp, super durable and totally weather sealed. Bokeh is a little less smooth than I expected, but I am used to prime lenses, not zooms. Overall, its a wonderful lens, I've already started using it for portraits and some landscape work. I think I may one day buy the 80-400 for landscape work instead, but for now this provides the compression and versatility I'm looking for!Vollständige Rezension lesen
