Nikon Speedlight SB-24 Shoe Mount Flash

SB-24 , Quality made , great value and easy to use.

This model of flash was introduced back in 1988 and although it is not useable in the current ttl modes on digital slrs it is listed in the manuals as being compatable when used in manual & non ttl Auto , I have found the latter to be very accurate and the manual mode easy to use in conjunction with the histogram on the dslr.
Build quality is much better than the modern low-mid range nikon flashes of today and I prefer the sb-24 sliding switches over the flimsy rotary selection thing on the sb700 which I would not have bought if I had used a sb-24 1st
I use my (2) sb-24 flashes of camera on a sc-17 cable and a sc-18 cable to sync the 2nd flash , I find it more reliable than the cls wireless remote system as it works every time.

In a word fantastic flash for Nikon users powerful can be used in manually on other makes of camera
I will shortly buying another I am so impressed with with this one

A great alternative to the infamous sb28

Bought this for my camera trap setup as I couldn’t find an sb28 under £100.

A great flash for the Nikon F4

I haven't used it much yet, but it does what I want it to do and works well with the Nikon F4.

SB-14 flash

This is an example of a perfect union between camera and flash and dare I say practically foolproof when used with 35-85 lens.
