A must for your DX lens arsenal
It has no noticeable color aberration, very slight vignetting at the long range and seemingly no distortion. Provides excellent bokeh for portrait shots and is great for landscape photography. Focusing is very quiet and very very fast. Build quality is excellent. VR II seems to handle low light, handheld situations very well and outdoor long range shots, with slightly visible blurring of details, apparent during post processing. Minimum distance focusing at 1.1 meters is a bit aggravating though for some situations. Obviously, not a macrophotography lens. Very compact lens for the focal length it provides. Nikor 55-500 Voom Lens

Small,lightweight and has VR
This a great lens at an excellent price.
It functions perfectly with my Nikon D 5600.The focus ring is smooth and easy to use, and as yet I have not noticed any degradation in picture quality at maximum zoom. It comes with Nikon's extra year free guarantee, provided that you do take the time to register the lens with them.

The latest light-weight GII vibration-reduced zoom lens for DX cameras
This is the latest light-weight GII vibration-reduced zoom lens for DX cameras. It contains an S-type focussing motor, and is suitable for recent DX cameras such as the Nikon D3300. Indeed is included as a kit lens with such cameras. This version is a so-called "grey market" product in that it is imported from Asia and not originally intended for sale by Nikon in Europe or the US. However, except that it does not have an EU or US Nikon guarantee, it is otherwise identical. I have no hesitation in buying such products because they are considerably cheaper than those sold by official Nikon retailers. Small, light, excellent lens
Just bought one of these. Very pleased with it. First thing that's amazing about it is the size. It's so small for a 200mm zoom and like other recent Nikon lenses it's also very light. Alternative to 18mm-55mm
This was Aquired for an alternative lens from the supplied one... The VR helps with the stabilisation of the shot and the zoom function gives a clear image on auto and manual focus with the right settings..
