Best value in a Refurb around!

This camera gets a lot of pushback for minor reasons, however it is lightweight, has excellent image quality and is a great companion to my D4S. I have tried most of the other brands including Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, Canon, Pentax, Fuji, and after having started with Nikon DSLRs, I came back for the image quality, easy to use menu system, and versatility of my lens stable. The problem I had using different brands concurrently is that the menus are vastly different and it was difficult to keep all of the settings and buttons straight when picking up a different camera for a shoot. Using all Nikon keeps everything the same and muscle memory makes ajdustments quick and easy. I have always enjoyed the rear flip screen and the D7500 has a solid bracket which adds insurance for me. I once paid nearly $300 to have one replaced on another brand that was less robust. I previously bought into the hype that the smaller, mirrorless cameras were the way to go, and having spent thousands of dollars trying them all, this 68yo man will keep packing the DSLRs and enjoying my hobby.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Best Camera Purchased

This is the third Nikon camera that I've bought and is easily my favorite. Apparently this is considered an enthusiast model so I can only imagine what a professional camera is like. This is a major step up from my D 3400. I have yet to learn all of the functions that this camera can do but with what I know so far I am quite pleased with the purchase and have taken some of the best shots ever. I have no problems with it being that it is a refurbished item. It has not failed on me in any way it doesn't seem to be lacking in any way so the fact that is a refurb makes it even more sweet. The price that I paid for it in comparison to a new one makes it practically a steal. This camera is loaded with features like Ultra HD video recording, HD photos, Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a bunch of effects to enhance photos. With the Nikon wide-angle 18-55 lens, the Nikon telephoto 70-300 lens and the Nikon hybrid 55-200 auto focus lenses that I have, I am having the best time taking photos and learning how to be a better photographer. This is the second refurbished Nikon I have purchased and any hesitation I had before making the purchases is completely gone. I would definitely buy another refurb and whenever I decide to upgrade I will look for another first. Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Great Camera for the price!

I was looking to upgrade from my bridge and mirrorless cameras, to a new 4K bridge camera. best option was the Sony RX10iv, but for the less than that, I could afford a camera with an APS-C sensor instead of a 1", with many many features and more professional appearance. I completed the body with a Tamron 16-300 which is more than enough to avoid carrying many lenses on my trips. The only con at this point is that even with a light lens, still is too heavy for a hiking and trip camera, lets see if I get used to it.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Nice Upgrade from my older Nikon D7100

Love the higher ISO capability to shoot in lower light, as well as the faster processor. The adjustable touch screen is very nice also.

The 7500 retains the best features of the 7xxx series, including a built in flash, intuitive interface, and a lightweight body. Overall the best crop sensor camera that I've used.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Fantastic camera, highly recommend!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this camera. I have worked my way from a D5200 to a D7100 and now the D7500. I loved my D7100 but had an accident(my bad) hence I had to get a new camera. This feels very much like my D7100 which is great. I had over 100k shutter clicks on my d7100 and loved using but it had a huge issue with wildlife photography. Its horrible buffer! I still got plenty of great shots over the years I just had to plan really well and when to press the button. I did miss a few good shots due to a full buffer. The D7500 takes all the great qualities of the D7100 but makes it a beast for wildlife/sports. I have been testing it for the last 2 weeks very heavily(over 3000 shots so far). The 8 frames is awesome and I have yet to fill the 50 shot buffer(raw). Thats been a sigh of relief. The focus system is the same as the D7100 but I do feel it is a bit more responsive with fast moving birds. I have taken several shots to compare vs the D7100 since it has had a slight reduction in pixels. At 100% magnified in Lightroom I can not notice any real difference, I do notice a slight difference at 300% but that is literally pixel level. The ISO is slightly better on the D7500 at 3200 and 6400...haven't shot higher than that. I usually set the camera to go up to 3200 as needed and never had any worries it wouldn't be usable. Battery life is fantastic. I can easily get 1500-2000+ pictures off one battery. The touch screen is awesome and the tilting part is very usable for landscapes so I don't have to kneel down all the time for low angle shots. I Love this camera and it seems it will fit all my needs as an advanced Hobbyist.
It does have a few negatives depending on what you need out of your camera..
-Its not a D500, but also a much better price tag
-the loss of a 2nd SD card slot. I never shot backup anyway so a non issue for me. If you shot paying gigs(weddings, portraits etc...) it could be an issue
-no battery grip option. They are heavy and bulky anyway so I have never used one, even when shooting with my Nikon 300mm f4
-no 10 frames per second of the D500...it does do 8 fps which is crazy fast compared to most cameras out there.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anyone looking for a great all around camera that really shines when the action starts. Photos below are just a couple of what I got with my D7500 so far. Nikon 300mm af-s f4 prime, Sigma 17-50 f2.8

Great value DX format camera for serious hobbyists and 2nd pro camera for the competent and skilled photographer or artist!

This is really an excellent camera for the serious hobbyist, a great backup pro camera, and an upgrade camera for the photographer moving to the competent and skilled level right before they are an artist. It is a DX format, so it’s best to use DX format lenses to avoid a stop loss of your aperture or more noise in your ISO if you do not have blazing fast glass.

It worked great with my 2 Tamron G2 lenses (24-70mm f/2.8 & 70-200mm f/2.8). With the DX, they were effectively f/4.0. I really like this as a 2nd camera to my primary. I think it would an absolutely positive step from a D3500 or D5600. If you’r wanting a serious DSLR, then this is a great first camera.

This camera has a lot of great features from custom function buttons, along with control of things like ISO, f-stop, shutter speed, and other things if not shooting in the RAW format.

For the price, this is a great buy.

Nikon D7500 - Great Travel / Wildlife camera.

The reason I did not buy the D500 was the weight and size.
This 7500 was the perfect size and weight for a travel and wildlife camera. No it does not work with old AI lenes, but who cares. Not going to use thoes lenes for fast pace action anyways. Yes, it only has one card slot - Again who cares - unless your shooting weddings ( and I have full frame gear for that ) I don't see what the big deal is.
This camera opens up a ton of lens options for a fair price. Unlike my Sony gear.

A big upgrade from my previous Nikon

Upgraded from a D5100. The viewfinder feels more natural to use. The improved ISO settings are very helpful, as is the increased image size. Many awesome features.

Learn it, use it, and be impressed!

This is a major step up from what I was using (Nikon d50) and does come with a fairly steep learning curve. I am greatly impressed with the video quality, and the low light capability of the camera. I would say that if you haven't used a recent Nikon, you need to spend quite a bit of time learning the capabilities of this camera. That is the only way to really justify owning it. I still have a ways to go, but I am very pleased so far. From the first shot, I could see the d7500 was going to be my camera of choice for a long time to come.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
