Factory cap, cheaper than dealership

Arrived today, was anxious to put it to use-uneducated gas jockey here in Oregon tire off and lost my original one. Unfortunately for me, I’m right on the edge of the build date for ‘99, apparently. Cap didn’t fit. Traveled 120 miles to the nearest dealership, and checked part numbers-it was the correct one, according to BMW.
