Didn't do the job

It seemed like a good product and the price was excellent. However, it did not do what I had hoped it would do. I have a weak WiFi signal in my bedroom. 5 bars in the living room, 2 bars in the bedroom 30 ft away with an N class router. Plugged this into a wall socket about half way between the router and the bedroom (15 ft). Only gained 1 bar. I had hoped for a better boost to the WIFi signal.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Doesn't amplify anything

I received this and followed Netgear's instructions on setting it up. The process was simple and easy. I then unplugged it and moved it to the outer reach of my wifi. It picked up the signal, but did not boost it at all. I moved it a little closer to the wifi router and had the same result. Extend your wireless on the cheap.

The one thing lacking for this Netgear WN1000RP-100NAS Universal 150M Wi-Fi Wireless Range Extender was installation instructions. I found them easily enough on Netgear's page. If you have simple WPS security, setup is a breeze.

If you use WPA and Mac authentication, you've got a bit more work in store and have to use a wireless device to do the setup. Once it IS set up, it does do exactly what it promises and gives a decent extension of wireless range and the slowdown of the transfer of the signal is negligible. Save your time and money

Absolutely a waste of money. It makes no more range than your router already provides. You move it away from it loses connection 5ft away and puts off very small diameter of signal. Please just buy a better and one and save your time with this garbage.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Easy setup, free download for instructions, reasonably priced

So far it appears to be working for my WiFi has not been interrupted but once and when it was I switched it back to the router easily from desktop.
