NEC PC Engine Duo Launch Edition Black Console

The duo-r with rgb and region free mod is simply amazing!

When I was younger I had a turboduo and loved it. Unfortunately over the years mine broke. I was ecstatic when I could finally purchase this unit. The rgb mod makes the graphics look phenomenal. With the region free mod over 600 games are available to me. The duo-r was way ahead of its time. It was the first cd based console and it was truly revolutionary at the time it came out. It plays credit card sized games called hu-cards as well as cd games making it extremely versatile. It was hugely successful in Japan but not in America. I am so glad it is finally getting the recognition it deserves from collectors and retro gamers alike. There were so many amazing games for the system. It came out in 1987 and lasted until 1997.
