Great read

This book was great value and came quickly.

I'm loving reading how Brenda lived and all about her family. You don't need to be a "Vera" fan to enjoy this book!

She's just a warm ,lovely lady

This is a brilliant book, brenda has witten about her life,having come from a very poor back ground , and a big family she's never left that behind,i liked when she talks movingly about her mother.this book is both funny and moving,just one of the best auto's i have read,could not put it down.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

a true rags to riches fairy tail?

I may come from a biased angle as Brenda is my neighbour! I have read this book twice because Brendas mixed fancies really is the story of a girl made good. From a genuinely working class background Brenda has reached national treasure status, this before the recent Vera! The book is engagingly written and there are plenty of stories to laugh out loud at as well at look at the poverty around just after the war. A very nice read.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

best book i've read for ages and well worth the money.

This book i cant put down brenda is so funny i remember lots of quotes that happened when i was younger that still make me laugh. She's lived a good and funny life well worth a read..
