Got these for electrical work

While watching a repair video on YouTube, a recommendation was given to get these bits which fit completely in the screw heads used on electrical devices.

The only problem that I've experienced is with screw heads that have gotten paint in them, but that's not the fault of these bits. In those cases, I've gone back to using a #2 Philips head screwdriver since, ironically, it doesn't try to engage all portions of the screw head and so is less bothered by paint in the heads.

Just one more reason to yell at the painters for being sloppy. ;-)

There is also another version of these bits that are shorter. I got these when I couldn't get the shorter ones. Given that I always have a magnetic bit holder in my driver, the shorter ones would have enabled me to get into tighter spaces without having to remove my bit extender. Great Tips

These tips are of very good quality. They don't slip off of the set screws ever the ones on 4" EMT. The only drawback is the shipping costs when you buy multipole bits.

New Milwaukie screwdriver tip.

Perfect for the new outlets/receptacles for it can tighten properly. The old type screws using a flat tipped never tightened properly. Now outlets can be replaced easier.

Great bits for electrical work

These bits, designed especially for the electrical contact screws in duplex outlets, are excellent. No more sliding sideways with a flat head screwdriver bit, and no more stripping the phillips head screws. These bits lock in solidly and won't slip in any direction. Difficult for switches and outlets

I don’t recommend these for installing outlets and switches. Difficult to get on screw. Simple square bit works much better
