Int Edition - Microbiology: Funke, Case & Tortora
I honestly did not know what to expect when ordering this book because it was less than half the price from the original U.S. Hardcover version. However, to my surprise this International Edition of Microbiology by Funke, Tortora & Case is absolutely great! Not only is the quality of the book great yet it's the same book as the hardcover. The only notable difference is the cover and ISBN. I would like to mention that the cover looks wonderful, it's just different than the hardcover version. Anyways, the fact of the matter is that this International Version is well worth your money because you're getting the same material except in a soft cover shell, that's all.

Microbiology Textbook
I bought this book for a class at my college.
With high textbook costs I bought this affordable version on the textbook.
It has the same text word for word, a few color pictures and all the figures and diagrams as the hard-cover version;however, it is a very delicate book and can tear easily. It has very thin pages and covers.

Skeptical at first...
But i'm glad I purchased the international version! I'm a full time college student and I saved a lot of money. I was scared at first to get an internationl version but the content is EXACTLY the same just a diffrent picture on the cover and it comes with a CD and access code for extra studying. Unknown about RESTRICTED INTERNATIONAL EDITION
This book was the international edition, which was correctly advertised and it is the same page for page as the regular edition. Some things that were left out was the fact that this book was meant and RESTRICTED for sale in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, etc. This book may not be sold to any other locations than these. Now I will not be able to resale the book. It also was the cheap edition with the cheapest paper that I have ever seen. The printing on some of the pages was unreadable because the pages had been bent while printing. Also, the packaging that the book came in was very thin. By the time the book came to my house, the paper thin "box" had ripped open, damaging the front of the book and a couple pages.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
MIcrobiology An Introduction
The publication is well illustrated, but better than that I appreciated the way it is presented: Understandable, thorough,but not too wordy,CD included and I really appreciate the STUDY OUTLINE at the end of each chapter, including the Study Questions.

Microbiology International Edition
The price was right and it has the same exact information as the US hardcover..just softcover. Definitely worth the price.International editions are the way to go.

Microbiology by Funke, Case, Tortora 2006
This is an excellent textbook. I was a little wary in buying this edition because it had a different cover than the hardcover edition, but the text and illustrations and page numbers (and everything) are identical to the hardcover edition. Perfect - Just like same edition hardcover.
Book is exactly like hardcover at much less than half the price. I like the softcover for it's flexibility and weight, too. Arrived in time, and I've been using it all semester so far. I highly recommend buying this if you want to save a few bucks.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
Summer Class!
I bought this book for a summer course and really didn't use it much, due to intensive learning (6 wk program). But did use it for quick finds and such! Didn't get to use CD-ROM, but was used for what was needed and was good for it.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
