Once you work out how to install it (it is not difficult, but neither is it obvious!), it works extremely well. I am now able to use shims to raise the tonearm without the counterweight fouling the turntable lid. It also improves arm tracking with improved bass response and definition. Beautiful product that makes a difference

The world of hi-fi is populated by many products that promise astonishing improvements but fail to deliver. This is not the case with the Michell counterweight for Rega tonearms. I bought it for the RB700 on my Rega P7 and I could immediately hear a difference in the tonality - more even response at the extremes - and trackability. A marked improvement compared to the standard tungsten weight. I use the bigger weight with my Dynavector cartridge, so the mass is closer to the vertical axis of the tonearm. Waste of miney

I had read some good things about this product. My experience has unfortunately been quite bad.

The instructions seem fairly straightforward but after fitting to my RB300 I was unable to get enough tracking weight at the headshell.
