Probably the best glue of its type...
The cons first - it takes overnight to dry. Other than that this is the best adhesive of this type I have ever used by a huge margin. I also use it for repairs to inflatables aswell. Good, but not wildly convenient.
I can't say whether this stuff worked or not, as I haven't yet tried the tent in really wet conditions. It is reasonably easy to apply, but you must be very careful not to let surfaces touch together until after the sealer has cured (a full 24 hrs), otherwise they stick and you have to tear them apart. It remains visible as a shiny streak when cured, but that didn't spoil the aesthetics of the tent for me. Clean up of the brush supplied with the tube is pretty much impossible, but any brush will do when I use the rest of the tube. It is quite expensive for the amount you get, and I can't help thinking the excessive packaging and brush must account for a lot of that.
I have used the McNett seam sealant for silicone-coated fabrics for years and am completely satisfied with that. But I have also recently used their tent floor sealant (TentSure), which was not a good experience.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Good but expensive

excellent adhesive
i used the mcnett seamgrip sealer to glue down
seams on my goretex jacket its the first time ive used this product and it does a fantastic job.
it comes with a screw on small application
brush wich was difficult to use to get under
partly detached seams so i mad a smalll
spreader wich did the job spot on.
id say the brush would be ideal in more easy to access areas.it has a strong smell and needs
good ventilation when used i repaired my jacket
at about 7pm and left it over night and was dry
and the result was as good as new.

Easy application
Simple to use and apply. Make sure you let it dry before packing tent away or else fabric will stick together. I used some talcum powder to help prevent sticking. Does the job! I applied on all seams for a 2 person tent, and there was just about enough. Does what it says on the tin
Although relatively expensive product did not disappoint in making a high quality waterproof repair to my Berghaus over trousers. Great stuff for tent seams
Great stuff; it works and lasts. In my experience this is the most effective and durable of tent-seam sealants. I would recommend that anyone doing serious backpacking in foul weather should routinely treat their tent with this prior to use. Works very effectively. Grip seam sealer
Sealer works on the coat but the tape would not stick. I have had to leave the tape off, still waterproof see how long it lasts so far so good.

Seam grip is excellent
Repaired a seam on my work tent with seam grip. The kit comes with gloves and a brush applicator and of course instructions. I applied the seam grip to the seam that pulled apart and the seam grip was tacky and it bonded the seam together no bother. Left it to dry and job done.
