Excellent Planer
Item delivered on time, Makita packaging Bob on. Product came with the usual to understand instructions and within 5 mins I was planing away with ease. The Makita planers has an adjustable plane setting, which is easy to use and adjust. I planed about 50m of old sleepers and they have come up a treat. The plane just glides along smoothly, no forcing or having to push the blade. I’m really impressed with this tool. Makita cordless planer
Brought to replace an old but high end planer that disappeared from my van one day🤔used the new makita planer and wow! It has good power, accurate planing, but noticeably very smooth cut. Makita keeping up there standard
Slightly bulkier than the DKP180Z and heavier. Apart from that very easy to use, glides through timber. AWS chip, I haven’t figured out how to use yet. Dust bag would’ve been nice.

Plane Sailing!
I have an Elu corded planer but wanted cordless convenience and flexibility.
The Makita is beautifully balanced and sits well in the hand. Do be sure to buy the brushless model for lifespan.
You probably don’t want to run it on anything less than a 4amp battery else you will be recharging too frequently.
If you are in the market for a cordless planer, then look no further.
You will need a carry case and dust bag, extras!

Makita DKP18V
Ive replaced my makita 18v brushed planer with this brushless planer, its a little bit heavier but its battery lasts a bit longer and it has a battery indicator on it, the dust spout is better now and you can use a hose or bag on either sideVollständige Rezension lesen...

First impressions - it’s like using the 110volt with trout the lead, depth gauge bang on great planer used 6amp battery two doors with loads taken off- love it

It cost a lot more than my other makita planer but is more powerful and seems smoother. Very expensive but nice tool.

Medium wight but good in the hand,like chipping coming out of either side.
Glad to be able to plane without snagging lead.Still out on battery life ,but might have to get a spare.
