Very much cheaper than a new strimmer and a DIY job.
Far cheaper than a whole new strimmer, it is easy to replace the motor in just a few minutes. Simple DIY job. Remove the lower guard and the screws holding the case halves together, pull the tags of the motor and remove the motor and geared drive shaft (One unit) Tap the gear shaft gently by the smaller ballrace and the shaft will come away from the motor mount, you do not need to remove mount or pinion. Clean it all up and replace in reverse order. Job done. Be careful not to loose the spring that is located in the recess of the head angle adjustment button, that's the big button that allow the head to move/lock.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Makita spare part
What can I say? It's an electric motor.
It was pretty easy to swap it for the old one in my strimmer, giving it a new lease of life.. The fact that it comes with the gear attached made it a much easier job than trying to custom-fit a generic motor.
It comes in a plain cardboard box with no documentation or anything, so I just assume it's genuine. Anyway, it works fine so far.
It was decently packaged and arrived quickly.

Seems to work fine
Thought it was the motor when the strimmer stopped working so purchased this replacement , easy to fit and now it seems to work fine although it is early days. Efficient service from the supplier
