AWESOME LIVE SHOW!!
This is an AWESOME video on so many levels. Iron Maiden is thee best Heavy Metal and in this video they perform their classic hits live at the Long Beach Arena. I used to own this video on VHS when it first came out back in 1987 but misplaced it years ago. I was 13 when I was first turned on to Iron Maiden when I listened to "The Trooper" from their "Piece of Mind" album for the first time. I became a fan soon after that and have never looked back. What I love about this video is that I was actually there at the Long Beach Arena on March 15, 1985 when this video was recorded. An unexpected surprise
Iron Maiden played 5 nights in a row at Long Beach arena, sold out all 5 shows. I was at the 5th show at the back, 1/2 way up the nosebleed seats. Towards the end of the show Bruce announces "Martin the wasp Birch is here tonight to make this show into a double live album". Having no clue they made the 4th show into a video, finding this DVD was an unexpected surprise! The DVD is 2 parts, 1 is the concert, 2 is a documentary of the Powerslave album and the World Slavery Tour (Riveting & Funny). The concert of the 4th plays out very close to what I saw on the 5th night, except I found myself thinking "So that's what they looked like up close", enjoyed every minute.
