Powerful Memories of a Momentous Event.

I purchased this DVD to re-capture memories of the original performance and I wasn't in any way dissapointed. The performances themselves were even better then I remembered them and did not look dated in any way. The only thing that gave away the age was how young all the artists looked! Considering the age and technology of the time, the quality of the picture and sound is also excellent.
All in all I would recommend this DVD to anyone interested in popular music, especially those who can remember the concert first time around. It also reminds us of the powerfull social conscience that was apparent at the time.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Live Aid dvd box set.

Still to watch.Delighted with the price as would not have bought more expensively.Old person so around when first broadcast--very nostalgic!Major historic interest.

Saturday 13 July 1985,Wembley Stadium. A Concert like no other,so many famous groups taking to the stage to raise funds and awareness for starving Ethiopian Men,Women & Children. The Concert was beyond anything I could imagine, Yeah I was there & it was the event of a lifetime! This Dvd Set whilst missing parts of the concert has enough to bring back happy memories of that day,the people I met there & friends I made. Amazing and timeless to engage audiences worldwide long live live aid!

Gives a true reflection of how pop festivals were in the 80s especially when there was an international cause which our nation was totally supporting and enjoying the music of that period.A point worth noting is the bands were all singing and playing real instruments!
