A must have movie

OK, so virtually all World War 2 movies, and Documentaries are made form the view point of the Victor, us of course. But Clint Eastwood made this movie to show the other side, the lives of the Japanese to be killed on Iwo Jima. This movie show not just what they went through, but showed them from a human perspective, and a patriotic perspective as men fighting, and dying, for their country.

It tells us who the enemy in the Pacific were.Just people with a fierce loyalty to their Emperor. Even though the Emperor was misguided

The other side

Good movie showing the other side of the battle, did not realize how many Japanese committed suicide so early in the battle. And continued to do so rather than surrender.
