Left of the Dial
This HBO documentary does a great job of portraying the trials and tribulations of the formation of Air America Radio. It is an interesting and provocative story which brings understanding to the dilemma of funding and supporting a progressive, liberal talk show format in the age of corporate media control. The program highlights the involvement of all of the players and their conviction to promote alternative news delivery against all odds. It is dramatic, interesting, inspiring and at times very funny, esp the added commentary with Randi Rhodes and Marc Maron. The many behind the scenes observations show the intense dynamics between the origional investors of AAR and the challenges that are daunting and potentially fatal to the sucess of this venture. To this day AAR continues to struggle to survive in a climate of limited funding sources and forces that would like to see the voice of the Democratic left silenced. I highly recommend this video to anyone who has an interest in free speech and enjoys the entertainment that these truly talented radio personalities provide. Their struggle is our struggle, their sucess is our sucess.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
