GENUINE PRODUCT - Probably not new
This is NOT a Chinese "knock off". This puppy is the real McCoy. So if you're patient enough to wait a while it is good value for your money. To be honest shipping was much faster than most items I have purchased out of Asia. Please keep in mind that this controller card comes in IT mode and it can be a bit of a challenge to flash it for IR (integrated RAID) interface with newer UEFI systems. The point being is that it can be done but it will take some work. I recommend using DOS and an older system if you have one handy. Fortunately I had an old DELL with a real BIOS that made this possible. Most folks in the market for this card are going Non-Raid and are only interested in IT mode anyway so this might not be an issue.
The card does get hot so I'm looking into getting a good fan for the heat sink. I'm pushing a small ASUS micro-fan behind it for the time being. The card is currently running RAID 10 on both channels, one channel running 4 Western Digital SSDs and the other 4 Western Digital Velociraptor mechanical drives. The card replaced my old LSI 9211-8i which only uses PCIe Gen two. The 9207 uses PCIe Gen three. I'm very pleased with the upgrade and very pleased with the speed. Please note that you will NOT get a driver CD with this card like it shows in the picture so if you desire to make any modifications you will have to go to the BROADCOM website. Well Packed, Fully Functional
Card arrived well packaged and fully working with no dust or damage present. Performance with standard enterprise drives has been fast and extremely stable. Overall, an excellent value for NAS use.

Great deal for the real thing!
For the ridiculously low price of this card I was a little worried about it being counterfeit, but the card I received has all the telltale signs of an authentic LSI HBA: logo printed on the PCB, genuine heatsink design held on with the brass screws, a sticker with serial number on the back, and no obvious signs of use or components that have been swapped/repaired. It works great and came in IT mode as advertised. I don't think it was flashed with a BIOS ROM, which I don't really mind. lspci recognizes it as a LSI SAS2308 chipset.

perfect storage controller for TrueNAS
the card looks brand new in its container. Fits into the available slot and connects to existing sas connections. IT mode work as advertised.

Great card, would buy again
The card works well with UNRAID.
Card function was very good. It took a couple boots to pick up drives, but once it saw them everything else worked without further effort.
There was one minor issue, the mounting bracket doesn't allow the card to fully seat in the PCIe slot. Some finesse was required to get the card installed.
-1 star for needing a couple reboots to pick up drives and misfit with bracket, but otherwise an excellent card. I would buy again without hesitation.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Excellent deal for massive home storage
Quick delivery, and as advertised. They seem unused and perform as expected, exactly what I needed for my 8x 8TB pool :)

Brand new, fast, and works as it should
Runs pretty hot, but otherwise works as advertised. I use it in a Proxmox 4.4 cluster.

Great freenas card
This card being just a controller works great for freenas. All smart data is passed through and the is works perfectly with it. Fast card too you won't bottleneck it with standard hard drives and from what I'm running it looks like it'll handle fast sas drives just as well
