Smart little phone

A used phone but in very good condition. This is the third LG Cookie KP 500 I have owned over many years because they are great. Easy to use smart phone with large touch screen and all the extras.

Easy to use

This was a present for my grand-daughter who found it easy to use and has taken some lovely photo's with it.

LG Cookie mobile phone.

Great phone, brilliant for young teen wanting a touch sreen phone. Easily expandable. Shame it has no wifi. Other than that, all very good!

OK for the money I paid

Basic phone that does the job, touchscreen is quite responsive, phone did not connect to my broadband so I must investigate why, (assuming it can do ?)

LG KP501 Cookie

The LG cookie, in a nutshell is a cheap version of the I-phone. This one cost about 59.99 on e-bay. It has a touch screen, and more than one desktop area to put "widgets" on...or as you have seen in adverts for other phones that have an "app" for it. It has a variety of functions built in, but also you can download new widgets which are utilising what is known as the "Android" addons. Some widgets can be bought, others can be downloaded free from a number of websites. Plays mp3 and mobile phone style videos. It has a built in camera and video camera with a simple to use editing suite built in which is quite useful. This editing can be used for both video and pictures. I cropped a few pics using the tool and was quite impressed by its simplicity. There are lots of neat features with this phone, I love the way when you turn the phone from vertical to horizontal it adjusts whatever you are using to that size. For example if you are typing a text using the touch screen, and turn the phone on its side, the keys on the screen change from a telephone layout to a qwerty keyboard layout.

A few criticisms would probably be that the video footage is a little jerky and motion blurrs easy, but that could be said for most video images produced on phones. The battery life wasnt fantastic, but if you spend ages fiddling around with pictures using the 2 megapixel camera and the various widgets, it seems to go down quite quick. I had seen some complain the sound was terrible, I didnt see that myself. The sounds were as audible as other mobile phones I had used in my opinion.

Knowing what I know about the cookie, would I take it from the jar still? Definately. I like the design, the feel of the phone, and I feel its usage will be appreicated by many. I dont feel the need to dive out and replace this phone feeling quite content with everything it does.

LG cookie KP501

This phone is real value for money. Simple.

It has a great touchscreen display as large as many more expensive phones and the image is clear. It can be broken easily like all touch screens, so if you are rough with your phone, dont buy it, it's not for you.

If you do break the screen its one of the cheapest of its type to repair.

Its easy to learn how to use but takes a little practice.

If you listen to music this phone is ideal, louder than any other I have heard, by far.

It has ample memory capability (Sd micro) and can be upgraded to 8gb for less than £10 enough to hold all of the music most people own and play.

It has bluetooth, making file transfers like mp3 easy.

It does mobile web browsing. similar to most.

The camera is 3.1mp, but thats nothing to write home about so if you're photo or video orientated it might not be as good as some of its rivals for you.

All in all its a fair all rounder, and looks great.

It has good reception which is a real bonus, and compared to most other phones I've used, I dont find I need to shout to get heard or ask people to repeat themselves all the time.

Simply Exellent
Stylish and simple to use the LG KP501 Mobile Phone is a great alrounder.
It has a adaquatly sized touch screen that is easy to navigate and use, comes complete with its own built in stylus and is very lightweight.
Its size is also worth a mention , slim enough for any pocket / purse etc and for the money is a simple but "does what it says on the box" phone.

This phone works well on 2G network for GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900. it measures 106.5×55.4×11.9mm & weighs 89 grams.

The TFT resistive touch screen displays 256K colors at 240×400 pixels resolution & measures 3.0 inches. This display has also been integrates with some fabulous features such as handwriting recognition, flash UI and accelerometer sensor for auto rotate. The alert type features inches vibration and facility to set downloadable MP3, polyphonic and composer.
The speakerphone lets you enjoy hands free communication.

You can store up to one thousand entries on the phonebook. The photo call feature is simply fantastic. The picture of caller being displayed on the screen is a great feeling.

For treasuring the most beautiful memories of life, the 3.15 mega pixel camera is really useful. It allows you to capture all the special moments of your life in to this phone. QVGA video feature is also available on LG KP 501 cookie.

The display feature is also interesting. For storage purposes, this phone comes equipped with 48 MB internal space and a microSD card for up to 16 GB space.

Orange Vegas Mobile Phone

This phone is complex to use at first but after a day or two you get used to it. It's got loads of great gadgets, for example; camera, bluetooth, internet, converter, world clock, calculator etc.
When texting the touch screen buttons are quite small, but the stylus pen comes in very handy - espicially when playing the game 'Magic Sushi'.

LG KP 501

Always wanted to try a touch screen phone, so i chose the cookie 501, i had heard some good reports on this phone from friends, i found it to be an excellent peice of technology, the only thing that has been a put off, is when you recieve a call, you have to touch the screen to bring it to life, then press accept to answer, this takes a couple of seconds, but can be long enough for people to ring off, maybe it is just me, as i have always had a slide phone,
I am now finding out the phones full capabilities, and think i will stick with it for a while, or at least untill a newer version is on the market,

LG KP501 Cell Phone

ENJOYED THAT THE PHONE WAS PREVIOUSLY UNLOCKED SO IT WAS ABLE TO SUIT ANY CUSTOMER ON THE MARKET AND THE OWNER HAD THE CASE AND POWER LEAD FOR THE PHONE. THE PHONE IS A FUN TOUCH SCREEN WITH MP3 AND HAS WOULD OF BEEN A BETER DEAL IF THE OWNER HAD ALL THE ACCESSORIES TO GO WITH THE PHONE, DUE TO CONTRACT PRICES BEING VERY COMPETITIVE, AND MATCHED THE EBAY BID. IT DID NOT MATTER THERE WAS NO SOFTWARE OR MANUAL AS I FOUND ALL OF THIS ON THE INTERNET, BUT HAD TO BUY A DATA USB CABLE TO GET MORE USE OF THE PHONE. UNFORTUNATLY THIS PHONE IS ALREADY USED SO THERE WAS SOME SCRATCHES AND SIGNS OF THAT IF HAS BEEN USED ALOT WHEN POWERED ON AND FUNCTIONING.
