Solid security

Had to buy a 'Sold Secure Gold' lock for our eBikes for insurance cover. We already had a Silver rated Kryptonite and thought that was good, so thought 2 of these would do the trick and they do. Very solidly made, easy to put on and off except the cable is a bit of a juggle to get to the thick lock bit as recommended. It would be easier to just put it on the 'U' bar but arguably not as secure. The cable is used to secure the rear wheel as the shackle is not big enough to go round frame and wheel on an eBike, it does on a normal bike. If someone levered off the cable, they would only get the rear wheel so hopefully not worth the effort. I like the slide over cover to the key entry, it keeps out grit and water to keep the lock working. A little hefty, but if you want something strong, it has to be.Vollständige Rezension lesen

good but let down by lesser quality cable and problem registering it.

I tried to register it on the company's website but it wouldn't accept the code number that came with it so I won't get free key replacement if I lose the ones it came with. It's undoubtedly a very good lock but the cable is not such good quality. It's very heavy. I won't be carrying it on my bike frame, If I'm going to leave my bike anywhere I'll carry the lock in my panniers. Vollständige Rezension lesen

Good value and nice fitting to bike not too rattley

My only gripe is the cable, wish it was a little longer, as I use to be able to tie up my saddle too with old cable. Guess I can just get a longer cable.
