Excellent replacement watch band, excellent price!

My wife and I both have Pebble "Steel" watches, and needed replacement watch bands.This particular black band I ordered is the second of two of these Kreisler 22mm bands, the first being one in what Kreisler calls "white". I've replaced a lot of different watch bands on many different watches over time, and I must say that Kreisler offers a really well-made replacement band. They look great, are very comfortable, and at least on our Pebbles, they are easy to install. Once installed, they look like they came from Pebble (we are so sorry Pebble is gone). I highly recommend these watch bands for replacements. If you don't have a Pebble Steel, but need a new watch band, I would look for this Kreisler brand to see if they offer bands for other watches, as the quality is great and so it the price!Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Great band for Pebble Steel

This band is awesome. Amazing price and makes this watch look even better (too bad the watch is no longer in production!). Changing the size is difficult, completely possible with hand tools but not for the faint of heart (consider YouTube videos and a watch band jig before adjusting). Excellent quality, very durable, hard to remove links to size.

Excellent quality replacement band. Visibly different from the original, but a good color match to the 401B case and a very well-designed clasp. I especially like the finish, which wears much better than the original black watchband from Pebble. I bought one of these a year and a half ago and wore it for about a year since. There are a few small scratches and a little friction wear on the bottom of the clasp but otherwise it basically looks new. A good match for the 401B which is almost invulnerable to scratches on the case or crystal.

My one complaint about this band is that there is no easy way to remove link pins to resize it. You have to push the pins out with a screw punch. That's a standard tool in most jewelry stores, but the amount of force needed to push the pins will bend the punch unless it's perfectly aligned. I bought a punch with ten punches and it took six of them to get the pins out and back in. Unless you have more skill and patience than I do (or a very big wrist), you should probably add the cost of a jeweler's services if you need the band made smaller. Slightly rough on some of the edges, and way too long for my skinny arms! I took some of the links out, and now very good.
