Awesome Model of a Very Important Aircraft
Kitty Hawk continues to delight modelers with great kits of great aircraft. While have built several of the excellent Monogram F-101B, this edition is definitely more detailed. Like all Kitty Hawk kits, fit is excellent, but dry assembly of parts is recommended before final assembly with glue as some minor tweaks are necessary to obtain the best fit possible. Highly recommend this kit to anyone who loves the Century Series aircraft or loves jets. Can't wait till Kitty Hawk releases the RF-101C kit!Vollständige Rezension lesen

The modern One-O-Wonder kit!
This long-awaited kit looks great and has only the minor fit and historical issues. It’s not recommended for an unexperienced modellers, but overall build is very interesting and fascinating. The only alternative in the 1/48th scale is the Monogram’s one, so you’re have an option... Great kit out of the box, but be careful with recommended coloring schemes.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Some fit issues.
Bought this kit to build the Canadian version. It's generally a decent kit but is marred in a few areas by tricky fit and some poor engineering.
Ultimately it can be built into a decent model however requires some significant sanding and filler in a few areas.
Kitty Hawk kits such as this one are reminiscent of the quality of those from 25 or more years ago.Vollständige Rezension lesen

My only complaint is the box. Very small, so you can’t petty much put any aftermarket inside the box

An other option in 1/48
Much better than the venerable Monogram kit which was the only example of a F-101B/CF-101 in 1/48 scale, and offers recessed panel lines and decent details..
