German Steel!
I bought these exact pair of pliers from the Ace hardware next to safeway on 48 th st. In the 602. Had them probably 15 years and then left em at some customers house. I then several times went to replace them but because they were unavailable most stores i was shopping then i had to settle for less(I tried klien and other knipex linesman which are both high quality tools) i found them online 25 years later and bought them. I was so thrilled to realize that these pliers are such high quality that the handles were perfectly broken in and if properly twisted and spinning the handles will chatter or “sing” as should a quality tool does when properly broken in, what makes these my choice is the notch in the pliers jaws so theey can be used to hold a nut which is a convenience that too many tool companies overlook. Good quality
I’ve been a electrical worker for 39 years. These pliers will last for years if you take care of them. The wire cutters will stay sharp and the design of the pliers are very useful.
