Its good to watch some of the old classics and they don,t come anymore better than this box set. John wayne was a legend and my mum,s hero when in my teens and im now over 50 yrs old. It brought back memories of black and white televisions and both my parents glued too the small screen.You can,t compare this box set to the excellent others of wayne,s era as all were unmissable as he was the highest paid actor in the day of westerns. He was sometimes witty and arrogant but always won his leading lady especially when she was Maureen o,hara.. If too chose one ultimate favourite I would say hands down it was The Shootist which showed more of his sensitive side in his role of a dying man.
