Classic police mystery

Excellent classic police mystery in a new skin with great lead character in Tom Selleck. Well worth the money paid whether large or small amount. The low price paid does in no way represent/reflect the great quality story telling or the high level of acting by Tom Selleck or the other actors and actresses. This is storytelling at it's finest and should not be missed. I highly reccomnend this series and look forward with much anticipation to future series storylines if infact this were to happen. Selleck Shines

The regional setting is beautiful and the characters are very engaging.
Selleck is at his best, here....I watched the very first episode of Blue Bloods....it was a "sad" stereotypical story line, so I never watched it again. This Jesse Stone series is a delight to watch over and over again.

Realistic character

Seleck's character is flawed, as are we all. Interesting story lines, good acting. These movies are a treat.

Movies not in chronological order as they should have been

One would logically assume that Vol 1 would include the first four Jesse Stone movies and that this set, Vol 2, would include the following four movies. Not so. I actually purchased both collections and the chronological order was all mixed up. Characters would be dead in one movie and then be alive in the next because the DVD distributor didn't group the movies properly. I highly recommend these Tom Selleck movies but just not THIS collection of them.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Tom Selleck as Jesse Stone

As long as you don't expect the movies to match the books, this is a winner series. Tom Selleck does his normal great portrayal of Jesse Stone and brings the character to life more than some of the books upon which this series is based do. Jesse Stone is Tom Selleck

These are great movies, clean for this point in time. I always catch them on TV but with all the commercials it gets boring to watch. So I checked EBay and now I own them to watch at my pleasure!

Not in order

Tom selleck plays the part perfectly. The only problem I have is that the first movie in 2005 has the his character already established in the town. But in the second movie is when he leaves LA. And goes to the town of paradise. A bit confusing.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Jesse Stone rock solid!

I love movies with Tom Selleck. He is so down to earth in the Jesse Stone series and his sense of humor always shows through. Also like how he introduced each actor and at the end shows them again. Everybody gets credit for their role no matter how big or small.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Yhey are good to watch on tv when you want a good movie.

It is a good series produced for tv and I only watched one film already but I know they are all going to be good. Tom Selleck is not going to be in a cheap show. Thanks rich
