Defective.
I replaced a 15 year old identical timer with this new one. The LCD display did not "light up". The only thing that works is the mechanical on/off switch for the light. Unit is defective.

Good gadget, Older model
This is a much earlier model than one made today. It was an exact replacement for one we had, and worked well.
