It screams!
This is the fastest C2D processor for an intel 945 chipset. It was cheap and it outperforms the i3 series and many low end i5 series chips.
Best upgrade outside an SSD for an aging laptop.

2006 iMac cpr
i used this to breath new life in a 2006 iMac. i swapped out the 1.83 ghz cpu and hdd with this processor and a ssd.
it runs quite a bit faster now.
